La Malbaie

This is a riverside community located in Quebec, Canada. The name came about when Samuel de Champlain spent a night there and found the bay went dry. He then moaned out- Ah! La malle baye! This community is a magnet for tourists and visitors with inviting inns, hotels etc.

It is actually one of the first vacation resorts in Canada! Visitors can walk through the Chemin des Falaises and see some stately villas.

There are whale watching tours not far off that leave from Bair-Sainte-Catherine. The food is all about fresh seafood, game and local produce. For golfers there is the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu Golf Club and the Club de Golf de Murray Bay. This site offers an 18 hole and nine hole course. It is the second oldest course in North America. If you want to find a casino then the Casino de Charlevoix is the place to go. It is a government run casino. The casino has a dress code which is casual dressy. The casino is alcohol free and there are banking services but not cash advances.
