Edmonton is the capital of Alberta in Canada. It is located on the North Saskatchewan River in the centre of the province and has some of the most fertile farmland in the prairies.
Edmonton is an exciting city and has many cultural events. For instance Sir Winston Churchill Square in the core is where the 40’s festivals take place. In fact, the downtown Arts District surrounds the square and includes the Win spear Centre which houses the Symphony Orchestra and the Citadel Theatre.
Along with that are the Art Gallery of Alberta, the Stanley Milner Public Library and the City Hall. If you love art then you can see millions of dollars of art on display in the City Hall. The world renowned Fringe Theatre Festival is one of the largest events in North America. Some natural attractions are the Great Divide Waterfall, John Janzen Nature Centre, Muttart Conservatory and the Valley Zoo.
