Charlesbourg

Canada tours and signtseeing

Charlesbourg is a borough of Quebec City and west of the city of Beauport. It is peaceful and beautiful and attracts many visitors. The Trait-Carre is an example of the landscape where the ancient way of cutting up the land divides it into star shapes that meet at a central point. The people used to gather there to organize defences against attacks.

There is a walkway that surrounds it and you can see architecture from the 17th and 19th centuries. There is the seigniorial mill where you can learn about Charlesbourg’s history.

More places worth visiting are the Maison Ephraim-Bedard, Saint Charles Borromee Church, Magella Pardis and Pierre-Lefebvre houses. Then there is the Parc de L’Exposition which is a convention and exhibition center. You and your family or guests can visit the Chutes de la Chaudiere which is a beautiful waterfall or the Pont Pierre-Laport that is a dam, bridge waterway.
